We are so glad that we chose Uthsaav Events as our wedding planner. Throughout the year leading up to our wedding, Rajeev was willing to meet with us any time we needed. Rajeev’s experience really came in handy when we unfortunately had to relocate our wedding with 10 days notice; due Hurricane Helene, our venue and plans in Asheville were no longer feasible and we needed to move to Charlotte. His connections to vendors in the area, experience with multiple venues and vendors, and most importantly his calm and collected personality made that stressful transition as seamless as possible. Uthsaav was the planner for my daughter’s wedding which was held in NC. Being from MD I had no contact there other than the groom’s family. I was very worried about every thing going smoothly and our guest having a good time. Rajeev was very on top of everything. Ambika and Rajeev were the backbone to our beautifully organized wedding and reception. Through months of prior planning, with their timelines and frequent check in calls, not to mention their availability through phone whenever we really needed them, we knew we were always on track throughout our planning journey. Both planners communicated effortlessly to vendors and made sure our needs were clearly vocalized. They also provided great vendor recommendations, so we knew we were working with vendors we could trust. They gave us guidance when we were lost or unsure of anything during the process. Our wedding ceremony was conducted as a mix of cultures (Malayali and Gujarati) and they paid close attention to what exactly was needed from both families in order to make a beautiful, seamless ceremony.
When the wedding week came, Rajeev and Ambika stepped up and took care of everything so that we could relax and enjoy our events. When the big day came, they kept us on schedule, kept the flow going, and managed all vendors effortlessly. Ambika even helped the bride look her best through a small outfit fiasco! With a 4-day wedding in the works, we were petrified and nervous to the hilt, and making decisions about a million tasks was herculean to say the least!
There were just way too many things to take care of, especially with not being able to travel to India because of the Pandemic, and our family from India not being able to come to help.

Rajeev and Ambika are irreplaceable! After a lot of waiting around for COVID numbers to improve, we had decided on having an intimate fusion wedding with a budget. We got Uthsaav team onboard a few months before our big day and had modest expectations for what we would be able to put together, especially since we were both out of town. Within days of our first meeting with them, they made every effort to get to know us, understand our vision, and laid out plans and options in short order. Our wedding venue ended up canceling at the eleventh hour and what truly astounded us was that they had already set out backup plans. They set up virtual visits with venue options, had quotes ready, and had already checked with our other vendors about being able to work with the new venues - all before the end of the same business day. They took a nightmare situation and made it right again. Rajeev has been an excellent resource in negotiating with our vendors and making sure we were getting what we paid for. On the event day-of, Rajeev and Ambika became more like our own appendages rushing about making our vision for our wedding come true. They handled every problem that arose with their calm demeanor (and expertise in the field).
Ambika and Rajeev really respected our vision, took it seriously and ran with it. A couple of weeks before our wedding day, on a conference call with the decorator, I said "I want the wedding decor to be no less than perfect, don't make me cry on my wedding day". Ambika responded "if the bride cries, I will cry! So, let's make it perfect!" This really speaks for how much they care about their clients and the heart they put into their work.
We went from "settling" for a down-sized COVID wedding to having our dream wedding within the same budget. I couldn't be more happy about our choice in wedding planners and give them our highest recommendation. They truly are masters in their craft (and genuinely good people!)

Bride: My wedding day was absolutely perfect, in large part due to the efforts of Rajeev and Ambika. They were vigilant dealing with ALL logistical matters, and took a substantial weight off of my family leading up the wedding festivities. COVID weddings are tough – there are many additional legal and logistical details that must be considered to ensure a safe celebration. Even though our wedding was a relatively small event with only 30 guests, it would have been incredibly difficult without their help. Assistance from the Uthsaav team was crucial! Rajeev and Ambika exceeded my expectations and I recommend their team whole-heartedly.
Bride’s sister: In order to plan a wedding in 10 weeks, you need consistent, reliable, and proactive support. That is exactly what Uthsaav provided in the short time leading up to my sister’s wedding. I particularly valued their tendency to take initiative; for example, they asked vendors the questions that we didn’t know to ask and they texted/called when we inevitably forgot to sign a contract or make a payment. Not only can you trust them to execute your own ideas, but you can also trust them make good decisions on your behalf when the entire bridal party is running around. I wanted everything to be perfect for my sister; Rajeev and Ambika did everything they could to help me make that happen, and then encouraged me to have fun.
